We develop learning and knowledge transfer methods for intelligent systems that collaborate across distributed and heterogeneous devices, with a focus on federated learning, continual learning, and device-to-device knowledge transfer.
Multimodal AI
We develop AI systems that learn from and integrate diverse modalities, including vision, audio, language, and sensor data, with an emphasis on efficient multimodal intelligence at the edge.
Spatial Intelligence
We explore intelligent sensing and localization using audio, wireless signals, and other environmental signals to enable robust spatial understanding and context-aware intelligence.
Brain–Human AI
We explore intelligent interfaces between human brains and computational systems, with a focus on bidirectional continual neural knowledge transfer, brain–computer interfaces, and machine-assisted learning across individuals.
